How to Register on eToro?

Step 1: Navigate to the eToro broker website – you can find the link to the page here – and click the green «Join Now» button. This button will redirect you to the initial (short) registration form.

Step 2: Fill out the form, providing basic personal information, confirm your agreement with the terms and services, and proceed by clicking the «Create Account» button. For faster registration, you can also use your Facebook or Google profile.

Step 3: If you registered through the traditional method (via email), you’ll receive a confirmation email that you need to open and click on the attached link. This ensures that you’ve entered the correct email address. You can log in immediately after confirming your account.

Step 4: After registering on the eToro broker platform, you have two options. Either you can deposit funds directly into your trading account (but not more than 2000 EUR – your account is not yet fully funded and verified), or you can proceed with verification and fill in the necessary information.

Once you’ve completed your profile, you’ll remove all transaction limits and other restrictions that made your account incomplete — see the image below.

Our advice: fill out all information in your profile first.

Proceed by clicking the «Complete Profile» button in the top left corner. If you want to deposit funds right away, click the «Deposit Funds» button in the bottom left corner.

Step 5: If you’ve chosen to first complete all the information in your account, you’ll need to go through the next 12 verification steps.

These are simple steps where you fill in basic information, as well as additional information about your trading goals, what assets you want to trade, and so on. Have you never registered with any other forex or CFD broker before? No need to worry! This is standard practice for all regulated brokers. Any broker that wants to be regulated in any way (eToro EU is regulated by CySec) is required to ask these questions.

Everything starts with this step and a few pairs after it.

We know the form isn’t short, but it needs to be filled out. Try to fill out the form as thoroughly as possible and make sure you understand the terms. If the system deems you a «high-risk trader» and if you answer some questions incorrectly, your account may be rejected. Be careful!

Step 6: After you’ve filled out your profile and questionnaire on the eToro platform, a pop-up window will appear on the screen. Your profile is now fully completed, but to access all features, you need to verify your profile by submitting the required documents, as indicated in the next step.

Step 7: If you’ve previously registered with a regulated Forex/CFD broker, you know that the process of verifying a trading account is neither complex nor unusual. Brokers are required to verify accounts, and this is necessary for everyone. To verify your account, you’ll need four documents: phone confirmation (via SMS), address confirmation (e.g., bank statement or utility bill), passport or other identity document, and tax identification number.

All these documents can be prepared in a few minutes. For address confirmation, you can use a bank statement that you can download from online banking or obtain from a bank branch.

After uploading all the necessary documents in the correct format, your account will likely be verified within a few hours, and you’ll gain access to all features. My account was confirmed in about 3 hours, but it can take up to 3 business days. You’ll receive an email confirming the result of the verification.
